Internet Explorer Browser Unsafe, Leaves Computers Vulnerable To Hackers

Millions of computer users have been left vulnerable to hackers after a major security flaw was found in the most popular web browser. US Homeland Security advised people with versions of Internet Explorer 6 to 11 to use alternatives until Microsoft fixes the bug. The software giant launched an investigation after confirming it had detected “limited, targeted attacks” in the browser, installed on more than half of computers worldwide. The security scare could allow crooks to access victims’ accounts and change passwords. Email addresses and other personal data could then be ransacked if a victim clicked on a hostile website. Online security firm Symantec said in a statement: “Our testing confirmed that the vulnerability crashes Internet Explorer on Windows XP.

Images of the Brazilian picking up the banana and taking a bite were beamed around the world and he was widely backed by the football community and celebrities. Villarreal subsequently announced they had given the supporter a life ban but Alves, who has criticised the level of racism in Spain before, felt it was not enough.

Barrack Obama Reminds North Korea of U.S. 'Military Might'

President Barack Obama said on Saturday the United States did not use its military might to "impose things" on others, but that it would use that might if necessary to defend South Korea from any attack by the reclusive North.

The North warned last month it would not rule out a "new form" of atomic test after the U.N. Security Council condemned Pyongyang's launch of a mid-range ballistic missile into the sea east of the Korean peninsula. Obama and South Korean President Park Geun-hye presented a united front against North Korea at a joint news conference following their summit on Friday, warning that they would respond firmly to any "provocations" by Pyongyang which routinely threatens the United States and South Korea with destruction. "We don't use our military might to impose these things on others, but we will not hesitate to use our military might to defend our allies and our way of life," Obama told cheering U.S. forces at the Yongsan garrison on a sunny spring morning.

Nigerian Leaders Seek Unity Against Boko Haram

Leaders from across Nigeria appealed for a united front against Boko Haram on Thursday, saying the Islamist insurgents were waging war on Christian and Muslim Nigerians alike.
President Goodluck Jonathan held a security meeting with governors of 36 states straddling Nigeria's largely Christian south and mostly Muslim north to seek ways of ending the Islamists' five-year-old insurgency. "We agreed that the Boko Haram war is not a religious war and therefore it's a war against all Nigerians and should be treated as such," a statement said after the meeting. The insurgents abducted 230 schoolgirls on April 14 and most are still missing. On the same day, a bomb in a bus station on the edge of the capital Abuja killed 75 people, an attack for which Boko Haram claimed responsibility. The two attacks showed the inability of the Nigerian security forces to protect civilians against Boko Haram, seen as the biggest security threat to Africa's top oil producer.
