President Jonathan's Second Query to CBN Governor, Sanusi Revealed

A copy of President Goodluck Jonathan's second query to suspended Central Bank Governor, Lamido Sanusi has been obtained by PREMIUM TIMES, according to claim. The query was the communication from the presidency to the CBN governor alleging financial recklessness in the operations of the bank.
The query arose after Mr. Sanusi forwarded a copy of the CBN's 2012 audited financial statements to the President on February 26, 2013.

Man Accidentally Shoots Self With Gun During Demonstration On Gun Safety

A man from Independence Township, Michigan, accidentally shot himself to death on Monday while teaching his girlfriend about gun safety, the Oakland Press reports.
The 36-year-old man, whose name has not been released, was showing his girlfriend how his three handguns are safe when they aren’t loaded, according to the Detroit Free Press. He was attempting to demonstrate the safety of the handguns by holding them to his head and pulling the trigger.

A three-year old girl was burnt beyond recognition after her mother locked her up in a house on Monday evening. The incident which occurred at Sidho Village in Muhoroni, Kisumu County has left villagers mesmerised with some terming it suicidal act. “How could she lock the child in the house and leave cooking fire in the same house? I think this should be investigated,” said a witness. The child’s mother Carolyn Ochieng said she had gone to fetch water from a nearby river and left the girl sleeping in the bedroom. “I had left water boiling in a different room but the fire was almost getting off. We always boil drinking water so it was normal,” said Ochieng.

The police said the incident happened around 2am on Mutiatu Street, Ikotun, Lagos State.
