A mother woke up in the night to find her 14-year-old son raping her, a court heard. Initially she thought it was a dream, but after realising the "enormity of the situation" she began screaming.

Her teenage son, who is on medication for ADHD, had been having behavioural problems in recent weeks, Preston Crown Cour was told. For some years he had been in the habit of climbing into bed with his mother, but the boy - from Blackpool and now aged 15 - denied a charge of rape. The prosecution said the woman had been asleep before waking and realising the "enormity of the situation, that her son was in the process of having sex with her". In her police interview - which was taped and played in court, the woman said she was "trembling from the inside" after the alleged attack. The teenager, who cannot be identified, left the courtroom while the interview was played.

Rapper 50 Cent Set To Cash In N318.4 Million At Mayweather Vs Pacquiao Fight

Mayweather

Rapper 50 Cent has already promised to bet $1.6million (N318.4 million) on Floyd Mayweather to beat Manny Pacquiao in Sunday's fight, but he's set to make even more money that weekend. The 38-year-old will reportedly pocket $500,000 (N99.5 million) for performing at Drai's club in Las Vegas on the Friday before the fight.

It seems 50, real name Curtis James Jackson III, may be hedging his bets considering his lavish backing of Mayweather, who is currently 8/15 favourite. If Jackson's recent quotes are anything to go by though, the rapper and boxing promoter is certain he'll see a return on his money. He said: He said: "Champ (is) gonna smoke him. It's gonna look like it was pumped up for no reason." 318400000

NLC, TUC Vow To Resist Fuel Subsidy Removal

Image result for nigeria labour congress
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) have vowed to kick against any move by the government to inflict further hardship on Nigerian workers through the removal of subsidy from petroleum products.
Both chambers of the National Assembly on Tuesday passed the 2015 appropriation bill without allocating any money for subsidy payment, a clear indication that government was preparing for full scale removal of subsidy on petroleum products.
The Deputy President of the NLC and chairman of the joint May Day celebration of the NLC and TUC, Comrade Peter Adeyemi, told journalists that organised Labour believes that government has never subsidised petroleum products.
Instead, he said the bane of the sector has been corruption, pointing out that past governments tried without success to address the issue, saying they don’t have the mandate to support the removal of petroleum products.

Messi, Suarez & Neymar Form Could Give Guardiola A Headache

It was a masterclass of attacking football. Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez scored five between them - all stunning - and made it 102 goals for the season for Barcelona's famed forward line.

Pep Guardiola wasn't watching. The Bayern Munich boss was taking charge of his side's German Klassiker clash against Borussia Dortmund, but he will no doubt catch the action later on. And when he does, he is likely to be a worried man, particularly after his winger Arjen Robben suffered an injury on his comeback.

Guardiola coached the greatest Barca team in history, the wonderful side that wowed the world between 2008 and 2012, winning 14 out of 19 trophies and playing some of the finest football ever seen. But he never had a forward line like this one.

Messi opened the scoring against Getafe with his first-ever Panenka penalty, dinking the ball down the middle with a cheeky chip. The Argentine attacker then centred for Suarez to volley home in spectacular style, before both combined for Neymar - who cut the ball back beautifully - to net the third.

The U.S. military said this week it has made great progress in its effort to develop a self-steering bullet.
In February, the "smart bullets" -- .50-caliber projectiles equipped with optical sensors -- passed their most successful round of live-fire tests to date, according to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, or DARPA.
In the tests, an experienced marksman "repeatedly hit moving and evading targets," a DARPA statement said.
"Additionally," the statement said, "a novice shooter using the system for the first time hit a moving target." In other words, now you don't even have to be a good shot to hit the mark.

The Niger Delta Salvation Group, on Tuesday, advised President-elect Muhammadu Buhari, to resist the temptation of scrapping any of the interventionist programmes including the amnesty programme, initiated by the late President Umaru Yar’Adua.
National coordinator of the group, Victor Tamarapreye, gave the counsel in reaction to the outcome of the March 28 presidential election, which President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party lost.
Tamarapreye explained that members of the group, which is a new coalition of ex-agitators, have been closely monitoring events before, during and after the last general elections.
The NDSG coordinator said while members had reservations about the transparency of the election, which saw to the declaration of Buhari as winner, they respected the president’s decision to concede defeat, just as they were willing to support him should he decide to seek legal redress.

JOHESU Threatens Fresh Nationwide Strike On May 8

Image result for general hospital wards
The relative industrial peace presently being enjoyed in the nation’s health sector may be short lived if the Joint Health Sector Unions goes ahead with its nationwide strike scheduled for May 8.
The Union based its threat on the refusal of the Federal Government to accede to its 15-point demands, while several efforts to have a one-on-one meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan have yielded no positive response.
The health workers, therefore, offered a last reminder to meet the president before his tenure winds down on May 29, warning that everything should be done by stakeholders to avert the looming strike.
The Vice President of JOHESU and President of National Union of Allied Health Professionals, Mr. Felix Faniran, issued the threat on Tuesday in a directive to the union’s members nationwide.

It is true that so much is expected from Nigerian celebrities, politicians and other popular people. However, this article is intended to show that they are indeed humans, just like every other person on the street.
No matter how comported these famous Nigerians have proven to be, a good number of them will just not mind letting down their guards when they found themselves in public. These ‘good number’ of popular Nigerians are the ones who will take the opportunity of being outside in public to eat, to buy or to do what they will naturally not be found doing.
While some these ‘daring’ popular personalities get lucky due to the fact that they did not get caught on camera, some were absolutely not so lucky, as every bit of their ‘unexpected’ public act got caught up on the camera. Well, it does not look like they care in any way.
