Gani Adams Blaims OBJ for Nigeria's Current Predicament

The national coordinator of the Odu’a Peoples Congress (OPC), Otunba Gani Adams has blamed Former President Olusegun Obasanjo for laying the foundation of Nigeria’s current problems.
He said this while addressing newsmen on his fears about the 2015 presidential election. According to him, as things stand, it seems as if no matter who wins the presidential election between President Goodluck Jonathan and General Mohammadu Buhari of All Progressives Congress (APC), violence will erupt in the country.
Adams explained that if Buhari loses next year’s election, crisis may erupt in the north, while the Niger Delta region may also erupt in violence if President Jonathan loses.

The Chairman, fund raising committee for General Muhammadu Buhari Support Group, Farouk Aliyu has warned Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido against attacking the personality of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at political gatherings.
“Though we know Governor Lamido has problem, because some times he talk in support of General Buhari by asking the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP supporters to vote for him (Buhari) secretly during the forth coming elections,” Aliyu told journalists after the fund raising campaign organised in Dutse.
He noted that Lamido openly criticised General Buhari while he showed support for President Goodluck Jonathan. This, he said, was partly because one of the House of Representative members representing Birninkudu/Buji federal constituency of Jigawa State, Sabo Nakudu to the APC.

Bootylicious Sarah Massey claims to have one the world’s biggest butts – measuring a whopping 7ft wide.
The mum-of-two, from Chicago in America, wears size 10XL trousers and once even cracked a toilet bowl by sitting on it.
Sarah, who at 32 stone gets about £750 disability benefit each month due to limited mobility, even struggles to pass through some doorways.
The 33-year-old said: “Everyday I get some kind of comment thrown at me, both good and bad – I used to be ashamed but now I hold my head high.
“At school I was teased and called Dump Truck b*tt by the other kids, but the condition is hereditary – there’s nothing I can do about it.

Nigerian Gay Activist Talks About Living With HIV And Death Threat After He Declared He’s Gay

Famous Nigerian gay activist, Adebisi Alimi is not only living with the struggle of being a a gay in Nigeria, he also is HIV +.
Adebisi has been very outspoken about the injustice faced by individuals who are gay after he came out of the closet years ago.
He had to flee Nigeria because of threats on his life.
Adebisi started out as an actor, he confesses, “I was pretty much a drama queen”. He talks about theatre, the anti-gay law and living with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) to NPR.

Minister of Finance debunks Claim of Missing $30B from Excess Crude Account

 
Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has dismissed the claim by Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole that $30 billion dollars was missing from the Excess Crude Account.
This minister, in a statement issued by her spokesperson, Paul Nwabuikwu, described the claim as shocking.
“The widely published comment by Gov. Adams Oshiomhole alleging that 30 billion dollars is missing from the Excess Crude Account is shocking and totally untrue,” the statement read.
“The comments reflect, once again, the unfortunate tendency of some political players to politicise the management of the economy on the basis of half-truths and sundry distortions.
“This is not good for the country.”

Get Your Voters Card , Vote Credible Leaders, Pastor Kumuyi Tells Deeper Life Members


The General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Williams F. Kumuyi, has charged members of the church to register and collect their voter cards to enable them vote for a credible government in 2015 general elections. He also stressed the need for Nigerians to shun ethno-religious sentiments while making the choice of leaders in the forthcoming polls.
Kumuyi spoke on Wednesday in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, while declaring open a three-day revival, in the state, in an event organised by Pastor Debo Taiwo.
He said, “I declare that all members of deeper life should go and get their voter cards so that we will vote for a credible government. Whoever is voted, if he is not doing the right thing, then we will have the right to complain.
“If we must vote for the right kind of people, we must exercise our right to vote”.
The well-respected pastor advised Nigerians to look at the past record of politicians and the manifesto of their parties in choosing their leaders in 2015.

Suicide Bomber Gunned Down By Soldiers in Gombe

A suicide bomber who rammed into a military check point in Bajoga, Gombe State on Tuesday failed to achieve his mission as he was killed by troops in Gombe, according to the Defence Headquarters (DHQ).
A statement issued by the Director of Defence Information, Maj.-Gen. Chris Olukolade in Abuja on Wednesday, said that the suicide bomber was shot down by soldiers when he tried to flee after hitting a military Amoured Personnel Carrier with his IED laden Honda car, which failed to detonate. The explosives had since been handed over to the police.
Terrorists’ hideout in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano was also raided, leading to the arrest of bomb making experts.
The statement said that bomb making experts “are already helping in the investigation into activities of bombers lately.
“Officers believe that the efforts will yield useful clues.

Osinbano Hints On How Buhari Intend To End Boko Haram Insurgency, Unemployment In Nigeria

Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has expressed confidence that the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gen. Muhammed Buhari will wipe out the Boko Haram insurgents and create jobs in Nigeria if elected in 2015.
Osinbajo, who is Buhari’s running mate said this while answering questions from his Twitter followers. He claimed that Jonathan’s administration is unable to end Boko Haram insurgency because of corruption that has eaten into defence funds, which has affected the kitting and motivation of soldiers.
“The current administration has politicised Boko Haram. The corruption around defence funds has created a situation where soldiers are not well equipped/motivated. GMB wiped out Maitatsine, another Islamic insurgency in his own administration by sincerely identifying the problem as a challenge to the authority of the state to maintain law and order. The administration took command and funded the military transparently and that’s what we need to do now to end this insurgency.
