Rescued dog turns star as Hundreds of people seek its adoption

Underdog was rescued from the bottom of the 700ft deep mine, known as the Big Hole, in Kimberley, South Africa, after several attempts to reach her.
A dog has been rescued from the world's largest man-made hole after being trapped for eight days.
The dog was kept alive by kind-hearted people who threw food down the disused diamond mine in Kimberley, South Africa.
Underdog (left) was rescued from the bottom of the 700ft deep mine, known as the Big Hole, in Kimberley, South Africa, (top right) after several attempts to reach her had failed. She was coaxed into a harness and brought to the surface (bottom right) where she was treated by vets. Hundreds of people have now offered to adopt the dog after her ordeal.
