AFCON 2015: Sone Aluko's Brace Not Enough to Qualify Super Eagles

SUPER Eagles of Nigeria will not defend their title in Equatorial Guinea at the 2015 Africa Nations Cup after failing to qualify from Group A.
Bafana Bafana, Wednesday night, at the Nest of Champions in Uyo, held Nigeria to a 2-2 draw. 
Tokelo Rantie scored a brace for the Mandela nation while Sone Aluko scored Nigeria’s goals.

Congo defeated Sudan 1-0 to join South Africa as the second Group A representative to the tournament in Equatorial Guinea to be held  January 17  to 8 February  2015.
Congo, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Guinea and Mali all claimed their tickets to the continent's showpiece event with their results on Wednesday.
Note that Super Eagles have never played in the Nation's Cup tournament ever hosted by Equatorial Guinea.
