Fashion: Cheap dresses trap expensive guys

This is the bend-down-select ‘boutique’ located at the junction of Egbeda – Akowonjo road in Lagos, very close to the Police check point. Sellers come around afternoon to sell used ladies clothes and shoes popularly called ‘okrika’. They call ridiculous prices for these wears which are very unbelievably cheap. Their advertisement ‘jingles’ are “Buy your trousers, buy your tops.” “N100, N200.  No more boutique”. Trust Ibo boys; their jingles work. Ladies of all size and shapes, young and middle aged, flock around these sellers to patronize the okrika wears.

True to their price chants, they even sell lesser than N200 and N100. What surprises me most is that some beautiful ladies whom I would have considered as expensive ladies if our paths meet also patronize these clothes marketers. The wears they put on look a bit expensive and ‘boutique-bought’ but seeing them at this site changes my impression. They must have bought them from this same ‘bend-down-select boutique’, starch, wash, spray and iron them to look like brand new and very expensive. Well, they know the tricks better. They throw shame away when they are pricing these wears. I guess they do that with the brave mentality of “no one will remember my face again after today.  After all, I don’t know anyone here and no one knows me”. Funny innit?

What baffles me most is that some of these ladies have expensive Brazilian hair on but come to buy these ridiculously cheap used wears which is not commensurate to the cost of their weave-on. Did I hear you say double standard? Someone said “packaging” [laughs]. For them to patronize these wears it shows that they do not have the money for boutique wears satisfactorily. So how did they get the expensive weave-on on their head? Well, the answer is not far- fetched.

I have observed that the skimpy and revealing wears that most ladies wear are the cheapest wears. The okrika wears that these marketers sell are mostly the revealing dresses. They include short and micro miniskirts and tight elastic trousers, short and sleeveless tops with wide necks that expose the cleavages. These are the same clothes sold for N100 and N200 as seen in the picture above. Guys wake up!
When they finally get these dresses ready, they put them on and expose their laps, cleavages, armpits and navels. The tight trousers (leggies- like) also reveal the curves of their buttocks and calves all in the name driving men crazy [some ladies don’t agree]. Well, that is what it does to guys. Do not pretend you do not know. There is a saying that men are moved by what they see and women are moved by what they hear. This statement has practically proven to be true.

When they have these cheap revealing dresses on, some well-to-do guys fall for it, especially when the lady is well ‘endowed’ and beautiful. Of course they know how to make these cheap wears fit perfectly and seductively on their bodies. They want to hear guys say they look sexy. Yes! That is their utmost objective. Once that is said, the rest follows easily.

Hmm, once again, guys wake up. I am not saying that there aren’t any expensive or high class ladies. But what I am saying is that there are more ladies living these false expensive life just to get cute and rich guys and cool money. They start up with these bend down boutique, get the cute and rich guys and cool money with these cheap wears and then graduate to buying from the boutiques themselves when their ‘maga don pay’. That is the ‘Legal 419’ of ladies. What a business?! [I no fit laugh o!]
My advice to guys; don’t bash your cars looking at a lady wearing N200 attire. It’s not worth your repairing your cars at expensive costs. Many beautiful ladies out there trying to get your attention through their revealing dresses, this is what they wear- “N100, N200.  No more boutique”.

Devil is a liar!
