Deer With Arrow In Its Head Spotted After Four-Day Absence in New Jersey

New Jersey’s most famous deer with an arrow in its head returned late this afternoon to a backyard in Rockaway Township.

At around 4:40 PM, the deer--and seven pals--showed up behind the Boonton home of Susan Darrah, who first spotted the animal last Friday (and last saw the deer Saturday afternoon).
Darrah told TSG that she immediately called New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife workers upon spotting the deer this afternoon. However, the state workers are headquartered about 40 minutes from her home, and the herd stayed for only about 20 minutes today before returning into the woods adjacent to her property.
As seen in the above image, Darrah again photographed the wounded deer.
