15 passengers have been feared dead among the 27 passengers on board the Embraer (EMBR3.SA) passenger plane after take-off with Akure as destination. the plane crashed around Mafoluku area, outside Lagos Airport's domestic terminal on Thursday 3rd of October, 2013.
It was gathered that the plane was also conveying the remains of late Olusegun Agagu as today was meant to be the wake-keep. On board the plane were high profile citizens and their children. Feyi Agagu aged 37, Agagu's son, is one of the survivors, however, not without critical injuries. Also, a Commissioner’s son and Chief Olu Falae's 1st son; Deji were said to have died.
Report says that at the venue of the wake-keep, on hearing this news, those in attendance began to dispatch in their twos and threes. Doubts are still in the air on whether late Agagu’s wife was involved in the crash or not.
Hmm, is this not a case of “dead body get accident… yepaaripa!” according to Fela?
