KAI and Taskforce deny seizing rams

KAI officials
Two agencies of the Lagos State Government have traded blame over the 150 rams seized from ram dealers at Ijora Olopa area of the state a week ago.
Reports on Friday was that 150 rams were allegedly seized by officials of Kick against Indiscipline, the enforcement arm of the Ministry of Environment.
The Chairman of the ram merchants in the area, Musa Sokoto, had accused the KAI officials of seizing the rams on Sunday last week “without giving any reason for the action.”
The Public Relations Officer of KAI, Mr. Tunde Olusesi told our correspondent that the brigade did not seize any ram.
He said, “I have made inquiries and I can assure you that KAI officers did not seize the rams. We were not part of any team that raided Ijora Olopa, and I say this for the record.”
It was said that the operation was done by officials of Taskforce.
However, the Chairman, Lagos State Taskforce, CSP Bayo Sulaimon, denied the report while responding to allegation of corruption in the agency.
He said, “Please get Ministry of Environment in charge of KAI, as this has nothing to do with the taskforce.”
The question now is, who seized the rams?
