The slip in the popular MMM scheme on December 13 2016 has given rise to many ponzi schemes thereby giving opportunity for many Nigerians who have tasted the brief supply of MMM's sweet wine, to seek same with these schemes. However, 99% of these ponzi schemes have caused more tears to a lot of Nigerians who patronise them. Majority of these schemes promise returns of 100% with 24 hours. As such many participants who patronise them hope endlessly to get their returns.

TAX EVASION: Javier Mascherano Sentenced to Jail!
Javier Mascherano has been sentenced to a year in prison but is unlikely to ever serve time in jail, after a verdict was reached in his tax evasion case.
The Argentine has been fined €815,000 and handed a year's sentence for two counts of fiscal crimes committed in 2011 and 2012.
Mascherano has previously admitted to the offences, repaid the money owed and paid a hefty fine as recompense.
After such compliance with the investigation, the court is expected to grant the wish of Mascherano and his lawyer, David Aineto, in suspending the custodial sentence in exchange for a further fine.

BREAKING NEWS: Russian Plane Crash: ISIS Release Picture of 'Schweppes Drinks Can Bomb Used in Attack'
Islamic State claims this picture reveals the bomb which brought down the Russian jetliner killing 224 people - disguised as a drinks can.
The image appeared in the latest edition of the extremists' magazine Dabiq.
The edition celebrates the recent Paris attacks and is entitled 'Just Terror'.
The magazine also claims to have images of passports belonging to victims who perished after the Metrojet flight exploded over Sinai.

AT LAST! PRESIDENT BUHARI ANNOUNCES MINISTERS
President Muhammadu Buhari shocked some Nigerians on Wednesday afternoon when he finally assigned portfolios to the confirmed Ministers of the Federal Republic. This happened at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa in Abuja during the inauguration of the Federal Executive Council, FEC. The President however announced himself as the substantive Minister of Petroleum Resources.

UK Police Recruit Yoruba Speakers
The British Metropolitan Police Service has said four Yoruba-speaking officers have joined its fold.
This was contained in a response from the service to an enquiry by our correspondent.
According to the Information Manager of the MPS, Yvette Taylor, the service released the information having observed the 20 working days as stipulated in the United Kingdom’s Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Taylor, in the response, said, “You have asked about Yoruba-speaking new police recruits. We currently do not have information regarding candidates who applied for the latest language campaign as we are still at the very early stages of the recruitment process for this campaign.
